Trouble is a part of life, and if you don't share it, you don't give the person who loves you a chance to love you enough.
Dinah Shore

How often do you keep you troubles to yourself?  Do you hide the bad?  Share only the good?  Create the illusion to others, that yours is a perfect existance?

I am drawn to the adage "Life is too short to make all the mistakes yourself - learn from others."

Life is short.  Unfortunately, holding on to your stress and make it even shorter.  We are made to share.  Sharing our troubles spreads the burden and lightens the load.

Give your yoke to Jesus. Give Him the chance to demonstrate His love for you.

Of Joy

Today we created a 'joy chain'.  A  simple installation consisting of strips of coloured paper, each labeled with the name of a family member and then assembled to create a chain. The chain was then used to write the word 'Joy' on the wall.

How appropriate.

Our families can be our greatest source of joy.  Our families make up the joy in our lives.

As a family of God, we are commissioned to bring this joy to others.  Won't you join me in sharing the joy of a life knowing God, with others?

Be the Heroine

How Many?

As you know many children count the days to a 'big event' in sleeps - ei, it is 10 sleeps to St. Valentine's Day.

This morning, as we re-entered the Church, I was asked, "How many songs until Mass is over?"

So here is confession - I got it wrong.  Thinking we had the Communion Hymn and the Concluding Hymn, I said "Two".

I missed "Lamb of God" and "Amen". Each time the organ sounded a note for the parts of the Mass, I felt even more guilty.  Poor little friend - Mass lasted at least ten minutes (and two songs) after the "Lamb of God".  I guess I should pay more attention.

Competitive Hearts

After years of training, injuries, trials and tribulations, my daughters competed against each other tonight.

When the younger daughter skated first, the older one, watching in the wings declared to her coaches, "I am so nervous for my sister, I can hardly stand."

Her performance complete, our younger daughter joined us in the stands.  When her sister stepped on the ice to begin her routine, the younger daughter shouted, " I love you, sis."

Yup, we raised fierce competitors!
